"The staff were fantastic, pool was a little cooler then we would have liked but it was clean and the area was well maintained which is very important to us. We loved the vibe of this hotel, you get the old historic classy feel here. The workout room was actually more impressive than we thought it would be with new equipment. The pillows were terrible. That's about the only complaint I have!"

"This was the second time that I stayed at Hotel Galena. I was in town with my wife, we visited for Galena's Whiskey Weekend. We both really enjoyed the convenience and affordability of the hotel. It's quaint space gives a bed and breakfast feel, with the privacy of a small hotel. The rooms are clean and fresh, with a nod to Galena's rich history. The continental breakfast is satisfying with biscuits and gravy, hardboiled eggs, granola, fresh coffee and juices. The breakfast room is a place where we got a chance to interact with other guests. Nate and his staff were welcoming and charming. There is a small kitchen on the third floor with a refrigerator to keep your leftovers and travel food while you stay at the hotel. It is far enough from the main street where you can have some space but walk to the sites and leave your vehicle behind. A great value."

"Nice location if wanting to visit downtown Galena. Hotel has a shuttle that will take you there. Restaurant attached to the hotel had good food and drinks. Nightly entertainment was also good. Would stay there again when visiting the area."

"The shuttle was great. Jeff I will get you where you need. Emerald and Jeff were great when the pool was out of order. They shuttled us to a sister hotel. That sister hotel was rude, but great pool. "

"We did not use any amenities while we were there. We were disappointed that there was no type of breakfast "

"Spacious rooms Cave themed room was very imaginative The stars above the bed and Spa were a nice touch Shower was enormous and had a lot of options Sauna was clean and comfortable "

"Asked for non smoking room they only had a room that had been smoked in, bed was ok not the worst thing. The tub would fill up as you took a shower so we had to shower quickly. The staff were all wonderful, fresh cookies every evening, breakfast was great, overall property was clean and well kept. "

"Convenient to downtown Galena. Pet friendly which is important for us. Clean and comfortable. The main disappointment was the breakfast. Should have been more options and a little better quality."
