"Convenient location to metro and train to Gion, Kyoto. Enjoyed the buffet breakfast and the lounge area with complementary coffee and tea always available. Room was a decent size by Japanese standards and we enjoyed our stay except for the 3 am fire alarm. We took the emergency stairs to the back of the hotel but were locked in a pen, unable to get out to the street. If this had been a real fire people would be trapped in the stairwell once the small fenced in area was full. Fire fighters took about 20 minutes to respond!"

"Love this place. It is very clean and modern yet still very Japanese. The staff is friendly and helpful and there are restaurants on the premise if you don't want to go out. The only downside is the infrequency of the commuter rail, but that's out of the hotel's control. Just FYI"
