"Our stay was wonderful. The hotel was perfectly clean and well appointed. The location was fabulous, across from the fountain and at the base of the escalators taking you up the hill to the cathedral. Finding the hotel is difficult. Make sure you come in from below or you will find yourself driving down tiny alleys like I did. There is no sign outside but the the hotel is directly across from the three arched grotto containing the spring/fountain. Our hostess was so kind and met us outside and helped us in with our luggage. There is parking behind the hotel but it is hard to find from the street. Highly recommend. "

"There are no words for the service and comfort at Athena. The staff at the front desk as well as restaurant and bar went above and beyond to anticipate our every need. "Wonderful hotel in an old convent/monastery, full of history and oozing charm. Staff were friendly, brekfast was great and overall an fantastic experience. Close to the centre and just a 10min walk from everything, with a beautiful courtyard too. Highly recommended"

"Beautiful hotel in an excellent location, right in the centre of Siena. Staff were extremely efficient and helpful, room was lovely with view of the square, comfortable bed and good amenities. It’s worth bearing in mind that the rooms overlooking the street are a bit noisy from people passing by below (not the hotel’s fault) so I recommend earplugs for light sleepers. "
