"Lovely hotel situated 1 mile to the north of Hawes. We had a downstairs room with a conservatory (worth paying the extra). Staff very easy to talk too and very friendly. Food excellent. "

"A great place jto stay for visiting Kendal and surrounding area. It was a bit difficult to find given the name, COUNTY HOTEL on the building, but Lakeland Kendal hotel on a stree level sign. It is the sane place. The hotel has mno official parking, but we got there early and parked right outside the main door, where we left our car for three days and nights wirhout interruption. The is a carpark elsewhere off the property. The staff were the most kind and helpful one is likely to meet. They made us feel qelcome from the very start of our stay. "
