"The Dorint in Beatenberg offers fantastic view of Lake Thun, atop a hilly mountain, surrounded by splendid trees and silence. The lake view rooms are spectacular. Breakfast is long - till 11am, allowing you to take all your time to have a fantastic spread of food before you start your adventure. The rooms are clean, each having a balcony. One thing to keep in mind is that it's not walkable to any place; you have to take the Bus 101 from Interlaken West to get here, and vice versa; it takes around 30 minutes in bus to reach Dorint from Interlaken West station. The bus leaves every hour from Dorint to go to Interlaken. Also, most people are not aware of a fantastic cable car system which takes you down to the bus route; the cable car is a few minutes walk from the hotel. The cable car also takes you UP to a very high point, from where you can see pretty much all of Alps -its an amazing hidden treasure that Dorint provides which most people are probably not aware about! Overall, this is fantastic haven nestled amongst beautiful nature."

One of the best views in the area in the middle of Interlaken ost train station & harder kulm on one side and shops and restaurants on the other. "Amazing view of the Thun lake and Spiez castle from the property. Very unique place to stay, offering a perfect Swiss experience. Close to all tourist destinations like Grindelwald, Istelwald, Jungfrau. Well connected by bus and train. The staff provided a bus pass so we didn't have to walk to the train station. Good weather in May made our stay in the comfy room with a scenic view memorable. Make sure you check and book the room as they have multiple categories of lake view rooms. The best view is from higher floors. Ours had a view partially blocked by a house. "
