"We checked in and were given room 241 upstairs. When we saw the room we were appalled as it was small ,very hot, and there was a brown corrugated iron roof right in front of the window, so nothing else could be seen. I returned to reception to ask for a different room but the unhelpful girl said the hotel was full so no other rooms were available, but all hotel receptions say that in this situation.
However, a much more helpful girl intervened and said that two garden rooms were available, and she even got a young chap to come with me to help with the cases. He showed us to room 302 which was absolutely lovely, spacious, bright and with double doors leading to a small patio with a table and chairs. Beyond was the garden with a lawn and flowers, a lovely outlook. A fan was brought to keep us cool in the unusual heat, and we had a nice meal in the restaurant that evening. We would like to mention the young chap who helped us with our cases from the first room and even refused a tip, he was pleasant and courteous and helpful. Also the second girl on reception who found us the garden room, and the staff in the restaurant who were cheerful and attentive despite the heat."
