"The hotel is a bit old. It's great if you're looking to stay in a property with a historical aspect. Check-in was troubling. I don't recall on the Hotel's description here on Expedia or on their own website that the deposit was $400 up front. I stayed for 6 days so that should have been around $170. Hyatt Regency San Francisco Downtown SOMA

"The check in was easy and the receptionist was very pleasant and willing to change our room because the one reserved for us wasn 't ready. The room was squeaky clean and a little larger than usual. The bed was very comfortable. Having a store for sundries and gifts would have added to the experience, as would have a coffee shop or cafe."

"Great location! All the staff were friendly. Clean room and nice bath products. Definitely a European vibe. Perry’s restaurant is a great amenity. Plenty of parking garages in area; I used SpotHero. The coffee and pastries in the morning were nice. The luggage storage was also a big plus before check in; at checkout the receptionist offered luggage storage again! I’d stay here again. Highly recommend Hotel Griffon for single travelers or couples. Thanks!"
