"Great stay"

"I don’t know if I just got the bad room or what experience the others have had that it was rated so high. I got a suite and decided on the first floor. The room is ok. The balcony is unusable due to the buildup of bird poop (not a couple days worth). The room and TVs are old and need updating. The AC unit in the room was so loud you had to choose between running it and sleeping. The bed was way too firm (opinion). Our sheets had stains on them when we got there. The breakfast that everyone raved about was just a hotel breakfast. Luke warm sausage and eggs. Basic stuff and an ok hotel but definitely not worth $200 a night."

"The first room we were hosted in smelled of animal urine but after asking for a different room it was much better no smell present. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. You really are just paying for a place to sleep so price wise it is appropriate. Entrance could use a little tender loving care with cleaning up the sidewalk area but people should respect the property and not think they can clean it up if I made the mess. Big downfall was TV/Cable system motel wide is not working even after I read a review posted two weeks earlier that it wasn't working, but I was able to stream on my device for my 86 year old mother who watches a lot of TV but not optimal as I didn't have the shows she really likes. Desk chair not very comfortable to sit for long periods of time. They offer a very limited breakfast so if you are needing something more than cereal, donuts/muffins along with apples, bananas, bottled juice, Coffee or Tea it is either go to the IHOP next door or choose somewhere else to stay. Did not use the pool so cannot comment about that."

"The room was beautifully decorated, large, and very comfortable. Lunch was excellent at the bar I look forward to returning to this beautiful and serene sanctuary on top of the mountains!"

"The location is excellent for the families visiting Carlsbad Caverns. The only restaurant close to the hotel closes at 3pm so travelers should be prepared to drive a bit. The breakfast offered by the hotel is very basic, cereal, coffee juice and muffins. For the price, comfortable beds and clean."
