"The pool water did not look clean"

"The location is great. Far enough out of the town center so noise isn’t a factor yet close enough to walk to town and restaurants. Staff is only in from 8am-8pm but are accommodating if needs outside of this time if they are told, like late check ins. Room was very clean. King bed was comfortable and had a small kitchen full stocked. Only downside to our room 111 was we wanted a balcony with a view of the Cape Fear River and we could see it but was a partial and the main view was weeds and backside of hotel. Would definitely stay again. Pool was small only 4ft and the beach front was nice. Dock was nice and plenty of seating outside."

Comfort Suites Southport - Oak Island

"We had a nice stay here. The hotel is located on the highway but only 10 minutes from the beach. The breakfast was OK, but they ran out of coffee the second day we were there. (Are you really offering breakfast if you don't have coffee?) We had a large room with two queen beds. The door to the bathroom blocked the sink meaning that you had to come into the bathroom, shut the door, just to wash your hands. I wish the door opening was moved to the other side of the door frame. WIFI was good. The staff was friendly but overwhelmed at times - we were there during the holiday weekend so they were sold out and busy. The place was clean and the pool was small, but refreshing after a hot day on the beach."
