The only downfall with the area around the hotel is the homeless people and their drug use right on the streets of London. It's like this everywhere downtown London. The Hotel itself is very secure and the farmers market and parking is right across the street."

"Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The property is in the heart of Stratford which makes for easy walks to dining, shopping and entertainment venues. Parking is safe and onsite. The hotel is over 100 years old so we weren’t expecting modern amenities found in newer properties. That said our room was clean and functional but it is in need of a refresh; rusty shower head that doesn’t allow for adjustment a heater that likely wouldn’t work well on a really cold night. "A great location in the heart of the city, walkable to theaters and shops. Modern room decor, nice quality furnishings and friendly staff. One big caveat: If you have difficulty with stairs, this is unfortunately not the place for you, because you need to use stairs to get to any room from the front or back doors of the building, AND you need to climb stairs to reach the bathroom inside your loft suite, even if you're sleeping in the downstairs bed. (At least that was the case for our room.)...
