There is another property adjoining this one. The provision of a swimming pool enhanced this property greatly. Although we only met the host, Helen, twice she was most pleasant and helpful. Would certainly recommend this accommodation if one is looking for peace and solitude and yet it is only about 5 miles from Romsey."

"We were greeted by our host who had kindly allowed us to deposit our luggage ahead of moving into the cottage. The cottage itself is cosy and well appointed with an Aga stove in the kitchen that keeps the cottage warm. It has a small but well kept garden with table and chairs for outside dining if desired. Also parking for two cars. We took some wonderful trips in the area where many of the villages have thatched cottages. There is a post office and village shop close by and local pubs within...

"Wow! what a fabulous modern and contemporary home overlooking Hamble Marina, with the village shops just a 5 minute walk away. We stayed here with friends celebrating my 60th birthday and it was such an easy and relaxed place to socialise with a fantastic kitchen, living room and large jacuzzi. All bedrooms are very comfortable, light and roomy, each with their own en suite which was great. Would definitely recommend getting a private chef in which we did one evening, that was a real treat....

"Pear Tree Cabin is very clean and well presented. Nice to have welcome items of milk,bread,eggs,jam and butter. Bed is very comfortable.Bathroom is lovely,shower is fantastic.Kitchen is equipped enough for a short break.There is no oven and if you stayed for a week you might miss this but personally we ate out so not bothered by this.Very secure behind gates which is nice and directions were all straight forward to find the property. "Overall stay was great, property is old style but this is not a major issue. Lovely set up downstairs, bedrooms are a good size. Mattress in the smallest bedroom is very squeaky so we didnt use that one as only 4 of us but if there was 6 that would have been an issue. Had an issue with heating not working upstairs but it was sorted, owner sent a key but we had already got it working. Would stay again, location is great 2 pubs in walking distance"

"You feel like part of the village. There is ample space in and outside. Our children loved the pool, trampoline, lawn, and helping Helen in her garden. The farm fresh eggs were a nice touch and we enjoyed our daily walks to the Lockerly market. Above all, we enjoyed Helen's company. We'll definitely be back."
