"Everything about Harkia villas was as good as we hoped, from the excellent reception of the hosts through to the cleanliness and the facilities. The villas are in a quiet peaceful location, perfect for those wishing to escape the crowds in the resorts and a car is essential (some may find the road up a little challenging). For me, a perfect location to relax but also to explore the region as we wished."

"We had a wonderful holiday and my whole family of 5 gave it 10/10 ( our 3 sons are 21, 18 and 13) The Villa swimming pool is lovely and the bedrooms are spacious and clean, the kitchen has everything you need ( although cooker knobs / numbers have been erased over time) the location was wonderful and near so many lovely beaches with tavernas and we visited Rethynmon and chania and lake kournas, the host / owner was very accommodating . The view is spectacular and thr villa is in an elevated hilltop location so the pictures don’t do it justice."

"We loved this villa. The location needed a car, but we expected that and as such not a problem. The Taverna Andreas is walking distance and actually I could have just visited there every night to eat and not gone anywhere else. It was excellent. The view from the pool is lovely. The highlight for us was the outside kitchen bbq sitting area, we spent hours just enjoying the space and relaxing. An amazing villa in a lovely quiet location. Michael was easy to contact and communicated with us throughout the holiday, even left a well stocked fridge for us on arrival. It was great being able to open a beer and make some snacks as soon as we got there, loved the watermelon. We could get taxis into Rethmyno with ease and if wanted you can run for hours without seeing anyone. Highly recommended."

"This villa is a real gem. Absolute world class one of a kind experience. Peaceful, beautiful mountain views from a modern, private and well thought out house. The location was perfect and central. Only 20 minute drive from all of the pristine beaches around Plakias and 20 minute drive from Rethymno for shops and city life while enjoying Crete’s mountain vistas and nature. We also enjoyed the beautiful pool. Supermarkets and Spilli are just a short drive away. We had it all! The host was very helpful and kind. Highly recommended."

"Lovely property, tastefully decorated ànd furnished, in a stunning, albeit remote, location. You sense the family history. The owner sent a plethora of information before our arrival and met us there on arrival. Would highly recommend this property for those who wish to escape the hustle and bustle, enjoy the stunning scenery or sit by the pool and soak on the views all the added bonus of Rumy to cook if you wish! Thank you"

"This great property for a holiday. There were 7 in our group and there was enough room for everyone and did not feel cramped. The Driveway is very large and can fit more than 3 cars if needed. The house is in a quiet and pleasant area with only other villas around it. It is a short drive to good beaches. I recommend Παραλία Σπηλιές Ρεθύμνου which is only 20 mins away and excellent. It is easy to get around by car but a car is essential. The kitchen area is small and so may not be ideal if you want to do a lot of, or advanced cooking. All beds were comfortable and all bedrooms have good air-conditioning. The host was excellent and did everything to make our stay brilliant."
