"Great stay, staff were amazing, check in was a breeze, including a comp upgrade for our 20th anniversary. Only stayed for one night; but could have happily stayed longer. Room was immaculate, view is stunning across Whitby and the Abbey. Cooked breakfast was great, poached eggs on request, missed out on the fruit, but that’s what a lie in does. A lie in caused by a really comfortable bed, best night asleep in a good while! Thanks Royal Hotel, we really appreciated being looked after so well!"

"Had a wonderful time in Whitby. The cottage is located brilliantly for the centre. Although parking is tricky, once parked we didn't need to use the car until we left and managed to find free parking. Everything that you need is at the cottage and it is nicely decorated throughout. I would recommend a stay here."
