"
The property was on a good location on the beach. The staff were friendly. The amenities were accessible however, there was not many food options and availability was limited. Overall good stay

"Simple hotel, not fancy, even though it is in need of repair it was perfect for my family of 11. We reserved 4 rooms. Very clean, nice and comfortable beds. Very affordable, the beach was perfect, and the ferry was very reliable."
"Location was excellent. Hotel looks closed. Pool is closed. No physical staff, but answered text very quickly. Loved the age of hotel. It has character."

"This place actually pleasantly surprised me. No compaints at all. Everything and everyone was great and friendly "
"This is my second year in a row staying at Sand castles. I really do enjoy going the month of July. It’s quiet it’s warm and the ocean is calm. The staff and amenities are great. I plan on staying here every year. "
"The property is perfect for a relaxing vacation right next to the water. But the best part was the staff Sande, the manager, is the most welcoming, kind, affectionate, warm and inviting person we have ever met. Because of her I will always stay at this property when I come back to STX. I will be telling everyone I know to stay here."
"Great property with a nice sized pool. The Western side of the island is very relaxed however there are still plenty of things to do. We will be back!"
"We just got back from staying in the Sunset Suite at VH with our family of 4. We loved the quirkiness of the house, built in the late 18th century so it has wonky floors, but it gives it character. The 2 bedrooms are the only rooms with A/C so be prepared for the living room, kitchen and bathroom to be a lil toasty. We did ask for an extra box fan, which they kindly provided.
We enjoyed hanging out at Ruff Night bar on premises and getting to know the locals. Everyone is sooo friendly! Even Victor the orange bar kitty who hangs out.
There are several restaurants in the immediate walking area that were good.
I would absolutely return to VH and recommend anyone to stay there. "
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Charles' shipping container tiny home in Frederiksted. The location was perfect and the host was extremely helpful and responsive. We had some trouble finding the property on the first day because it was after dark and raining, but Charles got us there safely. The tiny home is basic but very clean and everything functions well. We asked for some things like extra blankets and beach towels, and Charles was right there with what we needed. Beautiful beach down the road, woke up to a view of a rainbow stretching across the sea. Would definitely stay again!"

"To say that this property was fantastic is an understatement. Not only was it large, well-appointed and extremely comfortable, but the balcony/veranda was wonderful, with a magnificent view of Frederiksted and the Caribbean. We spent a lot of time just relaxing out there, including all our at-home meals, treated to views of the surrounding countryside and wildlife such as egrets, hummingbirds and hawks. Robin and Michael are very responsive hosts as well as fine people, and we felt we made two new friends. Had we been able to do so, we'd still be there. We can't recommend Carmen's Rest highly enough."
