"The lodge was perfect for 2 couples and a great base for walking in the Peak District. The lodge its self was clean and cosy and had the bonus of the hot tub to sooth achy limbs! Check in was very simple and secure & communication with the manager was fantastic and very prompt. There is a great pub 15 mins walk from the lodge The Plough Inn, which server great food , I would recommend booking to eat there as it was very busy. "It was just what I needed to enjoy birmingham. The hotel is located within campus grounds of Aston University, with proximity to restaurants and takeouts at affordable prices. It has easy access to other parts of birmingham via different means of transportation and we were able to use uber and buses for most of our journey. The hotel staff are polite, friendly and helpful and the hotel looks nearly refurbished and very clean, with iron and ironing board provided. The only downside is that the rooms do not come with a fridge and water isn't provided in the rooms. Although there was a tesco less than 2 minute walk from the hotel. We also got access to the leisure centre and swimming pool, although we didn't end up using these. All in all an excellent hotel"

"Arrived and check-in was easy, staff were friendly. As a lone female the hotel took my security seriously when my partner arrived after me, which I greatly appreciated. The room was clean and well appointed, we liked having a sofa too. Breakfast was adequate the next morning, although the hash browns were not very nice . We had a good stay and would stay again, it's in a very good location for all of the city centre attractions"
