We stayed in Cherry. It was a lovely room with a nice, up-to-date bathroom. It was plenty roomy for the two of us and the bed was amazingly comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with great service. Overall, we were very pleased and would definitely return.

The location was excellent and was within easy walking distance to the historic center of Bath.

We decided very last minute to stay in the Cotswalds overnight. I wanted to experience a staying a traditional inn. The Horse and Groom was perfect! We couldn't have asked for anything better. The guestroom was beautiful, clean and comfortable. We booked just an hour before we arrived, but they were gracious to accommodate us. The hotel is located outside the city of Bath. It's about a 30 minute walk to the city centre, so we took a local bus. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel which is very convenient. Gems assisted us at check-in and printed out the bus schedule for us!! She was very pleasant as well as all the other staff. We were having dinner at the hotel, and she walked us to the dining room. Amazing stop for us. Absolutely splendid hotel with wonderful grounds! Our boys loved the outdoor grounds for exploring and playing soccer (football). Stayed here in a family room (5 of us)--plenty of space, overlooking pool. Wonderful service and attention. Convenient for our visits to Avebury and Bath.

This was truly an authentic overnight stay in a castle built in the early 1500's. The castle was amazing by itself, but our room, Henry VIII, was an experience by itself! It was exactly what we had hoped for and more than we expected. The bedding and towels were outstanding as was the comfort of the bed. The shower was also great plus there was a jacuzzi tub. We could not determine how to turn on the heated towel rack, and we had issues with turning on the fireplace (so did the gentleman...
