Statesville, and it's surrounding area seems to be a place on the move. We've driven around and have found lovely countryside, shops and interesting restaurants. Haven't delved deeply into the area, but on the surface it's okay.

Many dining options but reviews mostly inconsistent so difficult to choose from. Chef's Kitchen had the best and most consistent reviews and turned out to be a great choice.
