"We absolutely loved staying at Agnati Villas - the pool was gorgeous - a great temperature with a beautiful view. The location near the town is great (make sure to have a car!) and still close enough to Heraklion. There were plenty of beds and the layout of the houses/villas was great for a large group. "Very secluded location. Villa worked well for us as a party of 16 as it is laid out as 4 separate apartments. Villa owner very helpful and allowed us to set up a communal kitchen. During our stay the owner responded promptly to any request e.g. repair of basketball hoop for the kids! Plenty of supermarkets in nearby Perama. Good beaches within 20-30 minutes drive. Would recommend at least a day in Rethymno - water sports and Old Town."
