"Room was basic. Next to motorway and generators so was loud 24/7 Then deliveries wouod come ealry morning and unload and make lots of noise. Widows were left open before arrival and room flooded due to heavy rain. No soap refilled in bathroom so didnt have any for duration of say, luckily brought my own. Air con on had hot air wouldnt change to cold. Ignored by reception staff when wanting to check in. Chef had to mention i was wanting to check in. Overall, disappointing and will not return...

"The property doesn’t look great from the outside but the rooms are very well decorated. The rooms were pretty clean although the first room given smelled of smoke. This was due to the customer before us rather than the owner. As soon as they were aware they came to us and gave us a new room which was great. The surround area could do with some work but it didn’t interfere with our stay. We did have a problem getting a taxi as they didn’t seem willing to come out to us which meant I had to drive...

"Really good sized room and bathroom. Close to town centre and railway station (though the trains were always late). Dont really see staff other than check in. Room is only cleaned if you request it,which was fine but perhaps could empty rubbish bins daily?? The town itself is peaceful and quaint yet only two stops from the buzz of Koln on the train."

"Nach langer Anreise war die erste Hürde die Parkplätze des Hotels zu finden, diese waren sehr schlecht Aus-/ Beschildert. Die Anreise in der Nacht machte das Ganze nicht leichter. Hotel machte einen sehr neuwertigen und gepflegten Eindruck, welcher schnell getrübt wurde da wir beim einräumen des Gepäckes in den Schrank, von Silberfischen überrascht wurden. "The hotel insisted we hadn’t paid when we arrived despite my proving i had paid 6 months previously. VRBO couldn’t/didn’t help and despite talking to an agent who said they would be back in touch no communication was received. The host eventually turned up at the hotel after we were in bed. Also turns out that the host charged us more than the hotel would have done - an extra £50 over the two nights.
