"I only stayed at The Grosvenor 2 nights. I didnt find the guest house as advertised. There were weeds growing on the outside steps. The room was so so. The toilet in the bathroom was only held to the floor with one bolt. I think carpeting could have been shampooed. The proprietor was pleasant enough. "

"Host Deb was friendly but this did not compensate for a room and house that smelt stale- a mix of dog and cigarette smoke. Keeping the windows open meant lots of noise from the busy road. Shower tray was blocked. Doesn't offer actual breakfast (as advertised) but was offered some toast. Generally poor experience."

The location is fantastic for Tenterden and other nearby spots (eg Chapel Down) and the cottage itself is superbly kitted out to a very high standard. Add to that the excellent hosts and oh so thoughtful little touches, and I’ve no hesitation in thoroughly recommending it to anyone looking for a fantastic self catering away break."

"We loved our room, good size, fab high ceiling, sea view. Really quiet even though it is on the sea front. Parking easy and reasonable price in underground car park ( look it up before you go to find the entrance road). Fridge in room was a bonus. Bath was huge and shower perfectly effective with really hot water. Armine was lovely. Would definitely stay again. "

"We have just spent a great few days here. Despite the rubbish weather, we still had a great time and definitely plan to come back. The Oast was wonderful. Lots of thoughtful additional touches that made being away from home easy. The beds were comfortable, the bath was lovely and the garden is beautiful (our dogs loved exploring it and doing laps around the bush!) "Good convenient location. Clean well appointed rooms. Staff welcoming and very helpful. Only issue is the room on the 2nd floor was unbearably warm and there was no way to manually control it. The staff provided a floor fan on our second night and moved us to an upper floor day 3 and 4. I would stay again but request a higher floor. "
