"An excellent hotel for short stays in St Andrews. Well appointed, very clean and comfortable. Our room was small but had all the amenities we required which were of a good standard. During our visit the restaurant was closed but a good continental breakfast was provided. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Reasonable value. We would stay again."

"The cooked breakfast was awful. Scrambled egg was almost solid and inedible ( even going early ) the bacon was so overcooked I could not put my knife through it . The hash browns were sloppy and not crispy. Had to leave them and only just manage a sausage . I was staying for 4 nights so I had to get a hot breakfast elsewhere. "

Very slow to take orders and serve breakfast which was not worth the wait or the cost in any event. Overcooked eggs, tasteless sausage, dry black pudding and nothing was particularly warm. Bacon was lovely though."
