A beautiful hotel with clean comfy rooms and. Lovely restaurant. The staff were all so friendly and helpful and they have a shuttle van to pick you up from the Coast to Coast Walk! Highly recommend!

What a lovely inn! Our room was big and bright and we popped open a window for a little breeze while sleeping. The bathroom was recently redone and very nice. All the meals, including take away sandwiches for lunch, were fabulous and the staff couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful! Highly recommend!

Excellent breakfast. Great location for walking to the town. Room and bathroom very clean. Staff made us feel very welcome. Dinner was very tasty and beer was most enjoyable.

9/10. We are a family of four and stayed in the Resolution Room. It was exceptionally clean and very spacious, with two bedrooms and a huge bathroom.
A small continental breakfast is provided in the room, including a pastry, cookies, yogurt, a selection of cereals, apples, juice, and milk. Nothing particularly special, which is why I rated it 9/10 rather than 10/10, but it was included in the very reasonable room rate and, as we are not big breakfast eaters, it suited us perfectly. Stayed here twice on a recent visit to Yorkshire. Property is clean and central. We loved the bar down stairs and the close proximity to everything in town. Also loved that it is historical and the river Leven is a must see behind hotel. Beautiful place. Enjoyed this special town and hotel.

Very cool place to stay. It did take a while to drive into Thirsk, but worth it.

This is a lovely place! The room was spacious and clean, the food excellent and cooked to order. I asked to stay an extra night but they were booked up. Not the best location if you’re relying on public transportation.
