What a beautiful and relaxing place. There's an excellent staff, a tasty restaurant on site, and many things to do if your decide to hang out on the grounds. It was a very romantic setting with incredible attention to detail. The gardens are amazing. The room was comfortable. They built a fire each night in our room and provided cool hot water bottles to go under the blankets at night, though we never found it particularly cold when we went in October.
But seriously, with Cerro Imbabura rising...

Beautiful authentic boutique hotel. I had to stay one night on my way to Galapagos and did not want to stay at one of those chain modern places. This hotel is very charming, with hammocks outside and place to walk safely on the property. Bonus airport transfer included. Onsite restaurant open till 10PM with great food.

The hotel resides in one of the most beautiful places I have ever experienced. The grounds are immaculately maintained, tge architecture is gorgeous, the spaces uncrowded and relaxed. Places like this only exist in fairy tales. The staff is friendly and efficient, the rooms large, well-appointed, and comfortable. The on-site restaurant is very good too. I hope to spend another vacation there.

The staff were great. The airport shuttle worked very well and breakfast was good. The shower and bathroom was very nice. Filtered water was available in the office and the grounds were nice with places to sit.
The room was pretty small by tolerable. We highly recommend this hotel.

We were so impressed with this Hacienda and Staff! What a perfect introduction to Ecuador! Erica greeted us as we drove up the leaf arched, cobble stone lane. She gave us a tour of the Hacienda, and saw to our every need! The grounds are immaculately groomed with flowers, vines, trees and roses. The Owner took some time to share some history of the Hacienda with us. Our room was clean, spacious and decorated to maintain the original flavor of this place. This hacienda has great character and is a fine example of the people and culture of Ecuador. This place is no Ritz, but that was exactly why I liked it. It's rustic and original, not genuine-imitation like most Americans are used to. The floors creaked, the bed creaked, the bathrooms are spartan but spotlessly clean. The grounds and gardens were naturally beautiful, and the pool area looked inviting, although my schedule didn't allow for that indulgence. I'm planning on that for my next visit.

Close to the market an easy walk. The owner was really great and the outside really misleading...a sauna and cold pool for after, a nice hot tub, and the big surprise an indoor pool. VERY CLEAN and well managed. Very personal service better than a big hotel and breakfast cooked for you individually. My best stop in Ecudador for the value.They do not yet take credit cards so have cash...this was a great value and I will stay again when I return to Otavalo....really a good experience!!!!
