"Great stay overall. The staff wee very helpful and the bungalow was clean and the breakfast was delicious. Definitely recommend getting the pancakes for the different fruit variety. It’s around 30 minute walk from the city centre in less than 10 minutes drive. There is an airport shuttle but there isn’t a train shuttle so if you take the train to Luang Prabang there are hotel shuttles right outside. Also, a heads up there are no TVs in the bungalow. "

"Very calm and peaceful oasis a few minutes from the centre of LP. Great pool for swimming and comfy sunbeds. Good breakfast and great rooms with super comfy beds. Lovely staff and shuttle service on request "

"I was extremely disappointed with this hotel - we checked out two days early. It is at best a 3 star hotel. Only stay if you get a cheap deal and don’t expect 5 star service or standards. The WiFi doesn’t work we had to use 5G We had to wake up the bar server twice, the first time Christmas songs were played (in March!!) and the second time it was silent and had absolutely no atmosphere. We paid extra for a riverside view to watch sunset, don’t bother - hoards to boats arrive outside the hotel and play Chinese karaoke, loudly - it certainly doesn’t make for a peaceful or romantic setting - I appreciate there is nothing the hotel can do about this. The rooms are very tired. Our flights flickered significantly when we turned on the water. They are also not that clean, there was significant dust on the headboard. There is construction work going on around the hotel that we were not told about upon booking. The pool is rented out to anyone for $6 inc beers, we didn’t use this but again doesn’t fit with an exclusive 5star feel. The speciality dining restaurant is shut. Staff service is haphazard, we had to have an argument with the ma on the gate who refused to let our taxi into the hotel and made us walk - again all very minor but not 5 star. We tried to check out quietly but was greeted by the Operations manager who wanted my feedback, which I provided, he agreed the hotel was not up to standard and agreed to email me, not unsurprisingly I haven’t received an email. "

Unfortunately, communication here is practically impossible without using Google Translate. The problem becomes even more apparent in the afternoon, when the daytime staff leave and are replaced by other employees who are unable to provide even basic information or handle simple requests. This is one of those hotels that looks very promising at first glance but turns out to be deeply disappointing in reality. The property clearly aspires to be an elegant hotel, yet the level of organization and service falls far below that ambition. From the very beginning, the staff appeared confused and unprepared. We were initially taken to the wrong room, only for the staff to realize afterward that we were not assigned to that room. Situations like this should not happen in a hotel of this category. The internet connection is unreliable and frequently freezes, which further complicates the stay. The biggest disappointment, however, was the gym. The presence of a gym was one of the key reasons we chose this hotel. In reality, the “gym” consists of two random, poorly maintained machines — a bicycle and a treadmill — which absolutely do not meet the standards one would expect from a hotel positioning itself in a higher category.
