Pepper Tree Inn

"We were hesitant at first after we read all the bad reviews but we were happy once we got there. We were on the 6th floor with the beautiful view of the lake. The building is dated and needs a lot of work to make it up to date. The beds are okay with clean sheets. The bathroom with the shower is just the right size and with white clean towels. The staff are nice. The building is in the middle of Tahoe City walking distance to all the restaurants and shops and most especially to the lake. We got there early since we need to be at the church wedding by 2pm. We were directed to go to Basecamp (their sister company) so we can change and get ready for the wedding since Pepper Tree Inn staff won’t be there till 3pm. We were very happy with our stay at Pepper Tree Inn."

"The property is exactly as presented in the photos. It is a beautiful residence- spacious and well furnished. Quiet and private, with a breath-taking view of the lake. Our whole family absolutely loved it. We enjoyed cooking meals in the well stocked kitchen, and didn't eat out the whole week. Stores are conveniently located nearby so we easily grabbed forgotten ingredients. We used the jacuzzi every night.Something to consider is the pet policy. My son's asthma kicked up the first night there, and I suspect it is because the hosts allow guests w/pets. The house was very clean, but someone with sensitivity to dog dander will feel it. (this is not the first time this has happened when we've rented) However, with allergy medication, my son felt better by the next day and he enjoyed himself the rest of the week. : )"
MODERN LOG CABIN-HOT TUB-TAHOE PARK BCH ACCESS

"I have stayed at this wonderful cabin no fewer than four times now. And each time I just love it more and more. It’s the perfect size for two to four friends or 2 couples. What it lacks in space, it makes up in charm, comfort and location. And honestly, it’s not lacking space at all. It’s a great place with a wonderful deck and hot tub. We had perfect weather so were able to spend as much time outside as inside.But I think it would be super fun and cozy in the snowy winter too. (Hmmmm, I see another trip in my future) The hosts are very prompt to answer any questions you may have, check-in is a breeze and having access to a private beach and dock is a pretty sweet bonus too! The kitchen is well stocked, the beds are super comfortable and get this, the shower also has steam!!! I honestly can’t recommend this cabin enough."
