Pepper Tree Inn

"We were hesitant at first after we read all the bad reviews but we were happy once we got there. We were on the 6th floor with the beautiful view of the lake. The building is dated and needs a lot of work to make it up to date. The beds are okay with clean sheets. The bathroom with the shower is just the right size and with white clean towels. The staff are nice. The building is in the middle of Tahoe City walking distance to all the restaurants and shops and most especially to the lake. We got there early since we need to be at the church wedding by 2pm. We were directed to go to Basecamp (their sister company) so we can change and get ready for the wedding since Pepper Tree Inn staff won’t be there till 3pm. We were very happy with our stay at Pepper Tree Inn."

"This property was very nice. Located in a pine forest near Tahoe City, CA. Pricing was fair. The studio we rented for two nights was very clean and well furnished even though it was a little dated. Enjoyed all the amenities. We will be back."

"I have stayed at this wonderful cabin no fewer than four times now. And each time I just love it more and more. It’s the perfect size for two to four friends or 2 couples. What it lacks in space, it makes up in charm, comfort and location. And honestly, it’s not lacking space at all. It’s a great place with a wonderful deck and hot tub. We had perfect weather so were able to spend as much time outside as inside.But I think it would be super fun and cozy in the snowy winter too. (Hmmmm, I see another trip in my future) The hosts are very prompt to answer any questions you may have, check-in is a breeze and having access to a private beach and dock is a pretty sweet bonus too! The kitchen is well stocked, the beds are super comfortable and get this, the shower also has steam!!! I honestly can’t recommend this cabin enough."

"I am in a Walker so finding property with that great view without stairs was difficult. The house layout was great, the deck was great, the location great, but the view was fantastic. My lake house bucket list trip with friends and family checked off:)"

"Communication with the host was excellent and prompt. This cabin has wonderful 5-star amenities and cleanliness. Parking was adequate for our family, and the location was close to activities we had planned - hiking, frisbee golf, beaches, playgrounds, and shopping. Bedrooms were comfortable and roomy, with plenty of bedding and towels. The kitchen is well-stocked with dishes, pots and pans, utensils, a large refrigerator, and a large gas cook stove. We enjoyed the living areas, kitchen, and spacious outside deck areas. All in all, we had a great time and this cabin met our needs well. We happened to visit during one of the warmest weeks of the summer, and the cabin was quite warm during late afternoon and early evening hours. We were very thankful for all the fans in every room, and the cabin cooled off well during the overnight hours."
