Taichung is Taiwan's second largest city but is not as used to Visitors. We walked about half a mile to the nearest night market which was OK but didnt match the night markets of Taipei. The Rainbow village park was a nice. We explored the coast too

Taichung is good but most of the Times parking doesn't accept foreigner credit card for payment. Most notorious of all is the most common "Times" parking.

"We stayed in the Deluxe Family Room, which was perfect for the 4 of us because of its space (2 full beds, 2 showers) and adjacent TV room with a sofa. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet (Chinese food, fruits, pastries) and the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The smart TV allows you to cast if you have streaming services overseas. The surrounding area has convenience stores but there is a need to ride a cab to major attractions or train station."
