"Hotel is beautiful and I was surprised at the location and design with it being my first time there. Check in was a breeze and the lobby was so pretty with the waterfall inside by the cafe and front desk. The inside bar by the lobby was nice, had a great view and the staff working there were friendly, attentive, and great. We enjoyed food and drinks from the bar and patio and everything was tasty. It really gave a “resort” type of feel. Warning to anyone who hasn’t been, there are a TON of stairs if you plan on going to the pool and wandering around. The place also feels like a maze at times, especially at night. The bartenders at the pool bar were not friendly and barely gave any attention. I get that the timing is off at times but it’s the weekend and the least they could do is acknowledge patrons at the bar. I consistently felt like I was an inconvenience to them by being there and ordering. They would look up at me, all 3 of them, then ignore me. Maybe the bar is closing up which is valid, a little communication could help. After waiting a couple of minutes being ignored, I walked up to the upstairs bar to get drinks, no big deal. As i walked down, the bartender was helping others with new orders. Either you’re closing or you’re not right? And with those stairs, this was not an easy feat between the pool and bar multiple times. Overall I would stay here again, plan better when going to bar and pool, and I would just avoid the pool bar completely. Beautiful view and pool"

"The room was not particularly clean; hair on the bathroom floor, dingy tub, etc. The electrical outlets in the bathroom area were not working so the blowdryer also didn't work. We didn't bother to ask for a different room due to our busy schedule. The breakfast is lovely and fresh, the airport shuttle is fast and the staff is very helpful and friendly. Parking is plentiful. "

"All of the staff are so friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tub are clean and well maintained--part indoor and part outdoor. We enjoyed the outdoor space."

"The overall property and size of room was as expected and mostly enjoyed the stay. The room was clean The pool and hot tub were nice. Asked staff at front desk for extra sheet and blanket they never brought it or said we could pick up at front desk. The beds were too soft more like sunk in. The beds were king size but sunk-in the middle of the mattress."

"I had a great stay at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Phoenix - Tempe. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. My room was clean and well maintained, and I appreciated how comfortable everything felt. I also used the gym during my stay, and it was nice to see that fresh towels were readily available. Overall, I was very pleased with my stay and the level of service provided. I would definitely plan to return the next time I visit Arizona."

"Pros: Good price. Convenient location. Cons: very noisy. The walls are thin. You can hear the guests and the tv in the next room. The worst is that The hotel is next to the freeway and windows are not soundproof. You can hear all of the traffic driving both on the street and the freeway. You can hear cars driving in the parking lot. You will definitely need ear plugs to sleep if you are a light sleeper."
