"Check-in via lockbox was smooth and easy. I came to Powell River for work and I left before staff arrived and came back after they had gone for the day, but I didn’t need any assistance from them. "Staying at this property was so much fun. So many interesting things to look at, the staff were great (the hostage was a clever touch) the food was yummy. This property is full of history. I stayed in the jury room, the room was nicely decorated and the 2 beds (one mattress a bit firmer that the other) were different but both very comfortable. I had the best sleep in years. The room had a great view of the harbour, the mill and the concrete ships, The transom over the door in the room let...

"We booked one of the signature tents because it looked so good on the pictures. Truthfully, it was a pleasant and unique experience. But, it felt like the owners fell out of love with their property and failed to keep up with maintenance. The windows need to be kept open with Velcro straps but they had mostly worn away or snapped completely - this meant we were unable to open some windows. Now the shower and bath were amazing.
