"Poolside was not open in March. Bartender had to get management to make drinks.... management took forever to read from bartenders guide to make super easy drinks. Left my kindle in room (totally my bad) but called front desk and inquired and still haven't heard back!!! Staff definitely riped us off!!!! Wonder why guests don't want them in your room???? "

"Very Disappointing and Not Worth the Price I stayed at Hamilton Washington DC and was extremely disappointed. The entire hotel is old and outdated — the rooms, the furniture, the bathroom — everything looks worn out and in need of serious renovation. The photos on the booking website showed a completely different picture: modern, clean, and well‑maintained rooms. In reality, nothing matched those images. When we raised our concerns at the front desk, we were told: “What do you expect for this price?” — even though the price was far from low. I consider this pure deception. Showing attractive photos online and then providing old, poorly maintained rooms is simply unacceptable. I do not recommend this hotel. For the same amount of money, you can find much better options in Washington, DC."

"Check in was rated lower bc of miscommunication with Hotels.com, but it was resolved and they took GREAT care of us after that. Due to the age of the Hotel, they have a 2 pipe water system for hvac. It was still on heat(winter) mode. We had 2 days over 80°, but they gave us fans and allowed for them to be put in window which helped. We were only notified by text message the day of arrival. Just a heads up to check that beforehand if it might be an issue for you. Overall, we would definitely stay there again depending on itinerary of the trip because it was quite a walk to downtown, but definitely doable."

"Modern, clean, beautiful. In a really great location. Rooftop bar is great except VERY expensive. Room was very small in square footage to the point that it was a little hard to have two open suitcases and move around. The small room was a little surprising. However, can’t beat the location. "

While I expected some city noise given the location, the actual quality of the accommodations was far below acceptable standards. The Room and Bathroom The room itself was cramped and lacked any real decor, making it feel sterile and uninviting. However, the bathroom was the biggest physical drawback. It was extremely small, and the toilet was positioned so low to the floor that it was genuinely uncomfortable and difficult to stand back up. Cleanliness Concerns The most upsetting part of the stay was the lack of hygiene: • Rust: There was visible rust in the bathtub and significant rust buildup on the door hinges behind the bathroom door. • Blood on Mattress: The sheets would not stay tucked and kept rolling up. While trying to fix them, I discovered blood stains on the mattress. Finding bodily fluids on a bed is completely unacceptable at any price point, let alone a premium one. Building Amenities The "gloomy" atmosphere started before even reaching the room. The hallways leading to the elevators are very dark and poorly lit. To make matters worse, the elevators are incredibly slow, leading to long wait times. The Only Plus The only saving grace of the room was the kitchenette. It was well-equipped with plates, cups, and necessary utensils. The refrigerator and microwave ."
