"This is a light and spacious period property. Our superior double rm 26 in the main house was large with a splendid dual aspect view across the valley. Our generous bathroom was refurbished with modern fittings, the only downside being feeble water pressure in the shower. Buffet breakfast was good quality and hostess Michelle was very friendly and helpful. Overall it was very relaxing, enjoyable and good value, we were pleased with our choice to stay in the edge of charming Bradford, rather than more cramped and expensive accomm in Bath City. "

"The hotel was nice and clean but clearly being run on a shoestring. The person on reception, was also the one behind the bar, also taking food orders and then delivering the food. The heating in the room went off early evening, which then made the room chill down very quickly; this did make me smile, I thought another cost saving!! Sadly there was no cooked breakfast in the morning because they did not want to pay for a chef and then no one on reception at checkout as they only manned it after 10am. The pluses were the staff I did speak to were good, the room was clean and comfortable and the views were lovely. So not all negative, hence 3 stars. "

"Lovely converted stables complex. Tastefully decorated, very comfortable bed, warm and cosy. Breakfast was superb, plenty of choice for all needs. Close to Bradford upon Avon & Bath. Nice walks nearby."

"Home was beautiful! So pretty and peaceful. The kitchen was fully equiped and the beds were comfy. We especially liked the towels and bed linen which was so nice and luxurious. The host was just marvelous helping us when we left my sons Ipad on the outside table. She contacted the neighbours to bring it in whilst we were out in the end she drove over and brought it inside for us. What a relief! Town is also a beautiful place to stay."

"Unfortunately we had to get there early as the contact number on the website is no longer use. Half the building was cold the pool was not open as being renovated the gym also not open or the sauna . The room was so small should have been a single . The 2 staff we saw was lovely and very kind . The place didn’t look ready for any guests . We ended up going home ."

"The Ottery is a beautiful, well equipped property in a lovely village. The hosts were very responsive, helpful and friendly and we would certainly book to stay here again! "

"Lavender Cottage is the perfect home away from home. We had a wonderful weekend there, with trips into Bradford upon Avon a nice 15 minute walk away and into Bath using the very convenient train station in Bradford upon Avon. The house was comfortable, beautifully decorated and so well appointed the kitchen had everything we needed from cooking breakfast feasts to cheese and nibbles, they even had champagne flutes! Only wish we had stayed for longer!"

"Teresa was a great communicative host . Arrival and check in was easy and straightforward. The bedrooms were gorgeous and the beds very comfy . The only downside was having just one loo , especially for the person in the studio room but we managed ! "

"We absolutely loved our stay at Cow Byre 1 — it surpassed our expectations. The accommodation felt homely with lots of thoughtful touches, and you can really see the care that’s gone into both the property and the grounds. Our son especially loved the games room and used it every day. It was quiet, in a great location, and we still felt a real sense of space and privacy even though it seemed fully booked. We felt it was very good value for money. The hosts were fantastic — nothing was too much trouble. We’d happily recommend to family and friends."
