"Absolutely amazing hotel! From welcoming and friendly staff to views and room cleanliness. The harbour views are unbeatable. It might be noisy at times, but if the windows are closed, you can hear a thing! So, no sleep disruptions. Worth every penny. "

"We stayed here for two nights and overall had a really good experience. The location is excellent — right in the city center and within walking distance to all the main attractions in Victoria. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and we always had hot water. It was also nice to have coffee available in the room. The hotel felt convenient and easy for a short stay. "- Toilet seat had a "sanitized" label but had thick black hairs also strewn across. - No hot water at all. Showers were ice cold at 6:15am. - no bathroom sink / vanity, and no mirror at all. - Paper thin windows and walls. The music outside echoed in my room til late at night and then workers or something thumped around in the lobby from 3am to 4am. It's a good location and slightly cheaper than other hotels but that's about it. You get what you pay for."

"It’s an older property, downmarket of most Doubletrees. Small cramped rooms with bath door opening directly to the bed. It is however, not close to cheap. And the Fatal Flaw: it is on literally the loudest corner on the island, a walled-in tunnel of sound, with a bus stop in front and lots of truck traffic. This plus windows that sound insulate nothing. Horrible. It’s like being on the sidewalk… and when I reported how bad it was, I was reminded that my room right on the street…. Well, thanks."
