"Over all the accommodations were satisfactory, but did not measure up to my expectations. I had anticipated a more luxurious astrosphere than the property presented. General upkeep of the facility was poor. During my week’s stay our room was not cleaned daily and when visited by the housekeeping staff they failed to complete the minimum duties. i.e. - the refrigerator freezer had 2-3” of ice in it on arrival and was never defrosted. - the floor was only swept once and never mopped accept after I went out and requested they return to at least sweep. - they made the beds once - failed to leave toiletries accept for furnishing towels My room was supposed to be a handicap room but did not even meet the minimum ADA requirements. No handrails in the shower or near the toilet. However the desk did offer a shower chair upon request. Front desk and main lobby staff were outstanding in their duties and friendliness."

"Came here for spring break with the family and had a fantastic time. We love the beach, golf, and we play a lot of tennis, so it was the perfect set up. It was fantastic weather at this time of year so spend the whole day out exploring. We loved the house, the courtyard and the pool. The kitchen was perfect for cooking family dinners! Thanks!"

"This is the perfect location for a family trip/girls getaway. The house is gorgeous, beds felt great. The patios were fantastic to just enjoy nature, try and spot a deer or two. There's even a little stream with a walking path. The pool was great. My mother has mobility issues but this house has an elevator which went from the ground up, so she got to be with us in whatever part of the house we were in. There are stairs going down to the pool, so she couldn't do that BUT, she had no plans on going to the pool so it was fine. LOL. We did have some hiccups, but Sweetgrass was super responsive. Daniel came out to help us and he is very nice. He showed us how to make sure the doors were locked, those were a little tricky. There are spiders, lots. But the house IS surrounded by trees so its to be expected. Don't be surprised to see a spider, some deer or other animals native to the island. There was a serious thunderstorm a couple of nights and we all snuggled down in our beds to just enjoy the sounds, after enjoying the storm while out on the patio first, of course.Grocery stores are close. The Nature Center was a great stop. Eating dinner at the Ocean Room, because you can't miss their ribeye. Breakfast buffet at Jasmine Porch. This was a great trip!We will definitely come back and definitely rent with Sweetgrass again."

"Beautiful marsh side home; great screened back porch for enjoying the serene view, Lovely, comfortable house with plenty of room. Extremely well appointed kitchen. Convenient location. We enjoyed the access to the club and the pool there. Very helpful host. Highly recommend!"

"The house is very spacious, well equipped, walking distance to beach. We had multiple families with children and the game room in the lower level is helpful. The 2 decks off the bedroom is a nice area to relax along with the screened porch off the kitchen."

"The property felt very private, especially around the pool which was surrounded by lots of trees & palms. The pool was nice and the seating in the dining room and living room was plentiful for our group of 7 guests. Easy 3/4 mile bike ride to the beach down a shaded bike trail. Would stay here again. (Mattresses could be firmer)."

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The vacation rental was very lovely, it was accessible for my 86 year old grandma with mobility issues. I highly recommend this rental if you wish to stay on Kiawah Island."
