"1/5 stars — I would give zero stars if I could. To call Bob W. Hyde Park a hotel would be a stretch of the imagination. This is a hostel masquerading as a hotel — the Ryanair equivalent of accommodation. Let's start with the marketing: whoever they hired to photograph this place is clearly very talented, because the hotel in the photos looks genuinely lovely. The hotel you actually experience is the IKEA version of that. Bare bones, cramped rooms with very little space, and not particularly clean — upon arrival, I spent over an hour re-cleaning my room before I could settle in. The beds are uncomfortable, and I spent most nights awake. The windows are poorly insulated, so wind slamming against them kept me up throughout the night. And the walls are paper-thin — you can hear every single thing said in the hallway or the room next to you. If you sneeze in this place, they'll charge you for it. The staff are polite but completely unhelpful — they rarely answered the phone, ignored requests, and when they did respond, the answer was usually that something costs extra. Including, it turns out, daily cleaning. This was never clearly disclosed upfront — perhaps buried somewhere in the fine print — but it was not something I was aware of when I booked. Had I known, I would have chosen a different hotel entirely. Instead, I used the same towels for the entire week. All of this might be forgivable if it were priced and marketed honestly as a hostel. It is not. I wish I never went."

"Property and facilities in excellent condition. Breakfast pricet but well worth it."

"Room was clean. Very very small but we expected that. It’s like a modern hotel in an old building so that was great. A couple things didn’t work. There’s both USB-C and USB- A chargers on BOTH sides of the bed but only one side worked so wife and I had to take turns charging our phones and then down the hall was a water-filling/filtration system that ALSO was not working but the tap water tastes fine. Great location for getting to the Westminster area and Heathrow on the Underground and good choices for restaurants nearby. "

"Front desk rude. Works directly above room with no notice. Fake eyelashes still stuck on the bedside table from previous guest. Internet slow. Can’t connect HDMI items to TV. Fridge not on. AC isn’t functional and directly from 1970’s. Nothing been upgraded in a LONG time despite new ownership. Gym equipment is in disrepair. Some buttons for lifts / elevators not working. It’s a hotel, it’s cheap and it’s close to the city. That’s it. "

"Amazing stay over the past 9 days. The Mitre has a great staff, a wonderful breakfast each morning and close proximity to transportation!"

"Rooms were small, clean but well appointed. Shower enclosure was tiny but bathrooms were also small. Staff were ok, but kept getting 2 rooms booked mixed up. Worst aspect was that the AC keeps you awake all night. Not ideal. "

"This hotel is short walk from Queensway underground, Hyde Park and Diana memorial Kensington castle across the street . lots of great eating places . It’s a short walk to Nottinghill . Our room was clean and very comfy and quiet . . We would stay again "
