"The Taj Wellington Mews in Chennai is an excellent hotel, very close to IIT, Madras and the Institute of Mathematical Sciences near Adyar area of Chennai. Even though it is a 5-star hotel, it is priced very reasonably. The service is top-notch. The food is excellent. My only complaint is that there is too much food. The rooms are excellent as well. Overall, a great experience."

"When we visited, there was a lot of construction around the hotel, the roads were terrible, noisy and dusty. However, if you want to have quick access to key areas like Tidel park, Adyar, ECR, OMR or Besant Nagar this place is most convenient. "

"The location of the property is is at a good location, central Velachery but not too close to the noise and traffic. But, The property needs to be maintained a little better. Rooms and bathrooms are not cleaned properly, there was a lot of dust and dirt everywhere, had to clean it ourselves. "

"This very pretty budget option is a hidden gem. The greenery at the property and the warm lighting gives this cosy vibes. Basic amenities like AC, a clean bathroom and a TV were available. Most importantly, travelling as a solo female, I never felt unsafe. It's a stone's throw away from the beach. I liked it so much here that I decided to extend my stay here by a day. The staff are professional and courteous. The only cons which weren't really deal breakers - The sheets could have been more...

"The Leela Palace in Chennai is an exceptional hotel. Beautiful setting, attentive staff, clean and fantastic food options. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with two young children - Raj from the Butler team was brilliant as well as the chefs Anjan, Bunuma and their teams. The only thing that would have made this even better would have been more things for young children to do eg a games room however they were very content with the beautiful pool "
