"Everything was wonderful except they tried to charge us for an upgrade at check-out that we never booked or requested. They said I booked an upgrade through Expedia which we never did and we weren’t even “given” an upgraded room. "

"Got up on the morning of our stay, could not have a shower, no cold water from taps in bathroom, just scolding hot water, very dangerous!"

"On arrival the staff were very helpful however when after being given our room we were appalled at the condition, especially the bathroom. The furniture was old and dated, the mattress and pillows hard, but it was the bathroom that dismayed us the most. There was black mold on the ceiling and extractor fan, the floor was uneven due to the lino was separating from the wooden floor. The taps on the sink needed replacing and the shower controls didn't work. To sum up the bathroom wanted gutting. After complaining and requesting another room we were told the hotel was fully booked but would be moved in the morning. The duty manager was very apologetic and we were offered a complimentary evening meal and drinks which didn't really compensate for the situation. The next morning we were moved to another room, a little better but not great. Wouldn't stay again or recommend."

"Lovely hotel but our room wasn’t cleaned properly, could have done with a good freshen up , however we did see painters in so probably in process of freshening up rooms, bed was very comfortable but could have done with new pillows as they were a bit flat, Staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Food was very good huge portions, freshly cooked and reasonably priced."
