I loved my stay at The Sands! The rooms are huge, luxurious and calm with the most comfortable bed. Rooms have everything that you need, including all necessary appliances and beautiful Eleven shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body lotion supplied. The location is superb as the beach is literally across the road. Staff are all lovely and friendly and there is a large range of food and drinks available at the onsite restaurant, bar and cafe. This is my third time at the resort and I love it :)!

The room was spacious and clean and the staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. The hotel is well suited to work conferences. or golfing holidays. For the non golfer or conference participant, the hotel offers less. Although there is an excellent indoor pool, its frequent use for kids’ swimming lessons limits guest enjoyment to one lane for significant portions of the day. Nor does the hotel have an indoor lounge or easily accessible outdoor sitting area. But during the summer - with the beach and lovely walks nearby - the hotel serves as a very comfortable base.

We stayed at The Sands Torquay for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and it was such a lovely experience. We had a golf course view, which was beautiful to wake up to — and we even got to see kangaroos just chilling on the course, which felt so special and very Aussie. The room was spacious, clean, and really comfortable, perfect for a relaxed holiday stay. On Christmas Day, the team surprised us with a stocking filled with little treats, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the day feel extra special.
