"The staff were excellent hosts and assisted us with in person enquiries but a couple of emails i sent prior to check in went unanswered. Yes, room 12 we stayed in was rather noisey ( even at night )being on the main road side but earplugs were provided. I don't know what the other rooms are like. I did manage to fall asleep till about 4.30am. The floors boards in the room and just outside in the corridor creaked and felt unstable when walked on. The bathroom was a little on the small side but it was adequate and spotless. The mattresses have springs and gave us both sore backs in the mornings. The pillows are rather flat. The walk to the number 88 bus stop takes about 20 minutes and is rather precarious taking you over a motorway and slip road. The other option would have been a cab which apparently is not advisable due to a number of reasons. The food we had at dinner and for breakfast was good and the servers were really nice. The room temperature was just about right ( we were there in March) with the radiator not on. I am not sure if it would be so in the middle of summer. It is walkable to Buckfast abbey, be it a longish, rather precarious one as mentioned above."

"We arrived slightly early and room wasn’t ready so bought drinks from the bar, hotels.com states free parking but had to pay on arrival, staff said they would mention this to management, then proceeded to say that breakfast cost more that advertised hotels.com (luckily we had already paid for breakfast). Room we booked had sea view which was lovely, had to side step when walking past end of bed due to small gap between desk and bed, TV signal kept dropping out. Breakfast was freshly cooked with the option of perfectly poached eggs."

"We had a really lovely time in the Spa and pool prior to our check in. Our room was great with a view over the golf course. We had a few drinks in the bar and a several games of pool. We extended our checkout to 12 noon, which cost an extra £20 which was expensive, but worth it to us. Overall a really great stay and we would go back for sure."

"This place was perfect! Check in was simple (even for me) It was very very clean, layout was great, decor was stylish but not fussy. The bed was comfortable and the view was lovely especially for the price, from this room you can see the sea and the park which is ideal from any window. The bathroom was really accommodating with a spacious shower which was easy to use. The carpet in the room was really good quality which to me makes a huge difference when staying somewhere. I’m a carer for my mom and live in the area but have started to get a little bit of time off a week and I chose to take time out here, it was a brilliant choice because I couldn’t fault it and definitely will be returning for my future breaks away from reality. Thankyou guys, your hotel was very much appreciated by me. "
