"This is the first time I've stayed in Trastevere and thought it was only 1 night, I could see myself staying here again. The staff was extremely friendly. The room was nice, the bed was comfortable, and the a/c was cool. My only critique is that the bathrooms are so tiny. I'm not very tall but at 6'0'' it was hard for me to sit down on the toilet without my legs touching the wall. And I had to walk sideways to get in the bathroom. But given the location and the friendly staff, I would consider staying here again. "

"The setting for this Hotel is fantastic with lovely courtyards and comfortable rooms. All the staff we met, from the reception staff, the breakfast and bar staff and the cleaners were friendly, kind, attentive and clearly enjoyed their work. The breakfast was lovely, particularly the bread and croissants and eating outside in the courtyard was a lovely start to the day. Highly recommend this Hotel as a base for exploring all Rome has to offer."

"A great place to stay! The staff were really nice to deal with, the rooftop bar is stunning and the rooms were very clean. The area is close to major tram and bus routes making it extremely accessible to the centre of Rome and the Colosseum. There’s lots of great restaurants and cafes near by, would really recommend staying here. "

"2nd stay at Gran Melia it’s a beautiful hotel, stunning swimming pool area, the staff are fantastic, hotel suites are very comfortable and well designed. There are a couple of things that I personally would like to see changed. Welcome drinks on arrival to the hotel. When it’s 38° outside and guests have travelled all day, the hotel should at least offer water on arrival. Breakfast - it’s disappointing for a luxury hotel that guests should be expected to pay extra for breakfast items like eggs to be made Overall I would 100% recommend Villa Grand Melia and would love to return for a 3rd time "
