We found out that the mini split heat pump was broken when we woke up cold overnight. The rental company knew it was broken but didn't bother to tell us to use the backup heaters. "Great place for our trip to Redwoods. House was super clean, kitchen well stocked and views are amazing. We didnt get a chance to use the sauna but wish we had. The eatery next door is really good, we got coffees and cobbler one day and had dinner the other day. There is the coolest hiking trail that was not on our trails map that we found sort of back behind the school that goes down to the beach. If you need to do wash make sure to bring quarters or you can get them from Camp Trinadad in their lobby about 10 miles away (hours are 10am-6pm). Local places would not exchange. Hosts are very responsive and nice as was the lomg term tenants we met downstairs."
