"Le lit est très bien, mais la salle de bain ouverte permet l'entrée de beaucoup d'insectes : arraignées, gecko, moustiques... Nous avons été reveillés par les coqs, les prières en dehors de tout cela. Le fait de ne pas pouvoir fumer sur le balcon et de devoir sortir de l'hotel n'est pas pratique pour les fumeurs réguliers."

"A breathtaking, five-star experience in the heart of Sidemen
Our stay at Samanvaya was absolutely magical from beginning to end. Nestled in the peaceful beauty of Sidemen, surrounded by jungle, rice fields, and mountain air, the entire property felt like a sanctuary. It was luxurious, intimate, romantic, and deeply connected to the natural beauty of Bali.
From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcomed and cared for. The service was warm, thoughtful, and effortless, and every detail of the resort felt intentional. Our room was beautiful and peaceful, the grounds were stunning, and the whole atmosphere invited us to slow down, breathe, and fully receive the beauty around us.
The food was truly spectacular — fresh, flavorful, creative, and beautifully presented. Breakfasts were a highlight every morning, and the restaurant quickly became one of our favorite parts of the stay. We also loved the yoga shala, the peaceful pool, and the way the resort made it so easy to relax, reconnect, and feel completely immersed in the magic of Sidemen.
Samanvaya was one of the most special places we stayed in Bali. It felt like a romantic jungle retreat, a wellness sanctuary, and a dream escape all in one. We left feeling restored, inspired, and so grateful for the experience.
We cannot recommend Samanvaya enough. It was absolutely five stars in every way."
"The resort is absolutely fantastic. The staff will do anything to ensure you have a good stay. The free activities are incredible. Make sure you try yoga with the incredibly skilled Wayan and the walks with the activities coordinator are well worth it to see parts of the area you would not have seen. I had a 2 hour massage and scrub experience with Riki which was absolutely incredible and so reasonably priced. I recommend the spa !The only problem at the moment is what staff call ‘the conservation project’ which is in fact heavy machinery on the beach moving rocks to build a rock wall. They work from 8am to 9:30pm at night. I don’t doubt it is essential work but I would stay there once it is finished (this year according to staff) or just make sure you select your room carefully. I had to change rooms and the staff were empathetic and responsive to my concerns. The trouble is the construction moved to underneath my balcony on my last morning making the balcony unusuable. Besides this I would highly recommend Candi Beach Resort. "
"1) They didn't have our name at the reception on arrival - took some time to find us
2) Our room had all the curtains closed on arrival and boiling hot... No aircon in the lounge (family room)
3) To get to the family rooms, you need the hotel car. They only have one hotel car, so sometimes you are waiting ages
4) They went to fill the car up with petrol at 9.30am on a Sunday at peak time, so no car was avabile
5) There is no manager working on a Sunday
Family rooms
1) The floors are so slippy - we all fell over, adults and kids
2) They look much better in the photos
Overal
The main building is nice, including the pool but the above makes the place not a good stay

"The resort has overmet all our expectations. Really all of them. The architecture and color design is very modern and meets fully our taste. The Villa (one room) was excellent. Very spacy and comfortable. One highlight is that you step out on the terrace and are able to swim to the pool bar. The stuff is very, very friendly, always smiling, always at hand when needed. They are acting immediately when needed. The breakfast was included into our booking and this is another highlight. There aere so many selections, that it never gets bored. The basis is a bowl of fresh cut fruits, a basked with bakery stuff, toast and bred and butter and marmelade. We mostly relaxed and ate more than necessary, I mean it in a good way. The restaurant and bar is open, but under the roof, you always feel as having a meal at the ocean, which is really, really southing. Overall the stay was fantastic and it was not easy for us to leave the paradise. We would recommend this place to anybody who wants to have relaxed and luxury times at the ocean."
