"This was our 3rd time at the GDM Megaron and I cannot say enough great things about the hotel. Staff is courteous, helpful, always available. Hotel and rooms are clean, quiet, safe and always with immaculate attention to detail. Location couldn’t be any better relative to shopping, dining, walking, airport, seaport etc. this is and always will be my go-to location to stay in Heraklion (and we actually even have family there we could stay with for free, but just prefer to be on our own). It’s obviously a little on the expensive side but well worth it. "

We especially appreciated the adult-only seating area in the main restaurant, which provided a peaceful and more refined dining atmosphere. The resort featured numerous open bars, and not once did we have to wait in line. The bartenders were fantastic—attentive, friendly, and creative—offering us custom cocktails that weren’t even on the menu. It was clear they took pride in their craft and genuinely cared about making our experience special. The beach was pristine, with soft sand and crystal-clear water perfect for swimming. Each evening brought stunning sunsets over the sea, creating unforgettable memories. "This was our first time in Crete, and the Olive Green Hotel was the perfect place to stay. It's very centrally located, near the ferry docks, the airport, and numerous historical sites and museums. The entire staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The daily breakfast was extensive, well made, and the wonderful. The front desk staff gets an extra praise for handling every question and request we had promptly and in avery friendly manner. An added bonus is having a small park across the street with outdoor tables from the nearby restaurants. We highly recommend it! "
