Far from beach -- but great views

Loved staying here. The hotel staff were super helpful and friendly and attended to any questions or needs. The villa was gorgeous and very relaxing to have your own space to just unwind. The staff is amazing from the front desk to the kitchen staff all the way to housekeepers. Property has access to so many things other than GWK which is only a 15 to 20 minute walk.

Service was the best, there were so many excellent personal I couldn’t name them all but thank you to all the staff that attended us. We plan to return. We were upgraded , food was delicious, pool, drinks. Hotel has a amazing theme, it needs some maintenance but would still recommend.

If you're going to stay in this area of Bali, this is the place to stay. To be honest, I don't know if it is truly a "5 star" resort as it doesn't come close to the Ritz Carlton-level, but it is a really nice place. The resort is family friendly with all kinds of activities for the kids. Plus, centrally located to good bars / restaurants I think my only real issue was the size / quality of the room for the price point. I've stayed in way larger / nicer rooms for $200 a night. Our stay at the Legian was remarkable. To be fair, I have stayed at multiple 5 star rated resorts in the US and Caribbean and our experience here blew the others away. We actually ended up extending our stay by another two nights because we didn't want to leave. If you are able, I absolutely recommend staying in one of the private villas. To celebrate our anniversary, my wife and I planned to have a relaxing vacation in Bali. Before heading there, we planned to take our time enjoying the resort facilities and head out to town a bit for some local delights. However, once we stepped foot into the resort, we know we will stay in the resort the whole time. We reserved the ocean room club room, which has the club lounge privileges. The hotel its very nice. Staff very very good, they would do anything to make your staying pleasant. In the restaurant they charge tax 11% and service 10%. Thats ok but i didn't like that also they ask if you want to tip. Service = tip just to be clear. I understand the salaries are small for the waitresses but the hotel are charging the prices like in Europe and for sure they can offer similar salaries to the employee instead to ask the clients to pay for it. Just my opinion.

Would recommend garden room at minimum. Extra price not much and worth the minimal price difference. Let’s you have a much nicer experience when in the room itself or taking advantage of the spacious terrace or exposed shower. Otherwise you are facing other buildings or parking lots.

It was the best place ever. You felt like you're in Paradise. The people are so kind. The staff way more attentive than an average person knows how to handle. I'm a good way. We felt special. BUT BEWARE OF THE AIRPORT!!
