Wonderful Stay at Maya Hotel Resort! I had an amazing experience at the Maya Hotel Resort during my 7-day stay. My first impression wasn’t the best, as we arrived at night, and I couldn’t see the ocean because the tide was out. However, in the morning, the water returned, and with better lighting, I was able to fully appreciate the beauty of the resort. The room in the wilderness

A beautiful white sandy beach and well maintained hotel is the core of this lush resort. Supported by a very friendly staff and competent management guarantees a great experience. The food is excellent and if you have a chance, try the private dinner setting at the beach with your very own server. Finally the Sultan "s bath and couples massage is the ultimate experience . The reviews on this place did not serve it justice! I was blown away at the amenities that were not mentioned. When you arrive you are greeted with a welcome drink and cleansing towel. There is a restaurant on site and you basically get a concierge that you can message whenever you need something. We stayed only one night on a quick pit stop to Zanzibar on our honeymoon inbetween safari and Seychelles. If we had to do it over again we would have spent all of our time in Zanzibar here with a quick day trip to stone town. Siriak is a very attentive but not intrusive host. One of the best things about this property is that there are only 6 villas so it is very peaceful and each villa has its own private cabana by the ocean which is a fantastic way to spend the day inbetween meals. Room was clean, staff exceptionally nice, area looked like paradise

We had a great stay at the Sands. The staff were amazing, from Mr. Ally the GM to the executive chef and the cooks like Thomas who took care of us. The food was first class - this goes for breakfast right through to dinner. Amazing food and fantastic service. The beach was beautiful, clean and safe. We could not have asked for more. Even the Masai security guards were great! We loved it. Would definitely recommend the Sands in Zanzibar. We'll be back.
