Charming 4-bedroom house with WiFi, AC in lovely Buffalo

"I booked this before seeing the other review about odors. DO NOT STAY HERE. THIS LISTING NEEDS TO BE REMOVED. Upon entry, the downstairs smelled of strong air fresheners to cover up mold and smoke. I have allergies and asthma, and I knew there was mold and smoke bc symptoms were instantly triggered. The stove was covered in grease, and the “first aid kit” was 5 bandaids in a container. Had to leave the house due to a migraine triggered from the home conditions and I never went upstairs to see how bad it was up there. Messaged the host right away asking to cancel and refund. They said to open the window for an hour and run the fan and that would fix it. The kitchen window was already open when we got there. They ignored us for 2 days afterwards and refused to communicate, we had to drive to another city that night for last min lodging bc that house would make me sicker if we stayed there. They finally replied saying they sent someone over and they blatantly lied saying there were no odors and that the house was fine. The host was also rude to customer service and refused to work with us for a full refund. This property is being reported to the health dept for inhabitable conditions, and we are going through other consumer protections for a refund. I would give 0 stars but it is making me do at least 1. 0 stars, do not recommend. "

"This is incredibly conveniently located; it’s about a 5-minute walk from UB south campus, Dunkin’, grocery stores and drugstores. Very easy access to highways. Safe neighborhood and the owner is very responsive to messages."
"This place is fine. Everything was as shown in the listing. Everything worked. The kitchen, the bathroom. We spent most of our trip with family at other locations. But we used this VRBO as a retreat and it was fine for that. Oh yes, the bed was very comfortable. "
"Check in was very easy. The house was clean, one of the four bedrooms was small but we were able to managed well! We liked having two bathrooms since four women friends rented this home for a weekend reunion trip. Good kitchen space. The neighborhood is nice and neighbors are friendly. My only suggestion would be upkeep on landscaping and outdoor space. "
"Comfortable beds, but conditions of linens was poor. Hole in the comforter and towels looked and felt like grandmas house. Kitchen utensils and pans were described as adequate… well, barely adequate would be more appropriate. House is for sale and it’s stocked with owners leftovers…"
