"The outside of the building gives a Bates Motel vibe. The "heat" and "air conditioning" were a space heater and a box fan. I had to flush the toilet twice every time I used it to make it actually flush. The refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker were all stacked in the closet."

"Overall the hotel was fine. If you look at the hotel pictures and think of going up to the bar with the view of the capital for a nightcap or whatever ... think again because "regular" guests are not allowed in there - you must reserve a special and more expensive room to gain access. We were told that it was an extra $100 a night to have a room where access to the view bar was included. We were disappointed. No tea in the room, only coffee. You can go to the front desk and get a tea bag ... we, as tea drinkers, were not told this but did find a dumb little note in the room which said we needed to get a tea bag from the front desk, really? Tea bags cost pennies. The creme rinse in the shower was not good. The restaurant was closed for dinner the night we were there ... went to The Old Fashioned bar and grill a block away which was EXCELLENT - highly recommend. And if you are tired of Starbucks (one in the lobby) try Michelangelo's coffee shop around the corner - a local place, which was also EXCELLLENT and FUN. "

"everything was perfect. the restaurant within the hotel had great quality. the room was clean. the staff were great. i was impressed that they had free laundry machine and dryer for guests to use. "

"SPA staff is extremely unfriendly. Wanted to relax at the relaxation room, simply was asked to leave stating they are closing . Didn’t even ask my name to see if I was a returning guest. Specifically, staff who was closing SPA on March 24th, 2026. Not going to use that SPA anymore. "

"Stayed here a couple years ago and was very impressed. Just stayed here again and was not so impressed. Tried to take a shower and there was no hot water, called front desk and was told i had to let water run for 20 - 25 minutes for it to get warm. Well we did that and only had warm/hot water for 5 minutes. Then when the water was warm, the shower mad this high pitched noise, that I am surprised didn't we didn't get a noise complaint. Then I was trying to sleep and the refrigerator kicked on and it sounded like a machine in the room. Went down for breakfast one morning, and my son was dishing up some eggs, and there was a couple of hairs in them. "
