"We loved our stay at Kaila Na Ua resort. Our hosts Warren and Roz were more than helpful and a wealth of knowledge on the area. It might not be as flash as the resort up the road but the views, peace and quiet and the constant rolling waves on the reef made it so much better. Recommended 👍"

"The best part of this resort, and we have been here over 10 times, is the staff; they make you feel like you are family. No other resort gives that feeling. From the ground staff to the office staff and everyone in between, they are what brings us back. On this trip, though, we found the drinks to be very dear and the food overpriced, except the Indian dishes, which are superb. For example, fish and chips are Aus $15.00. Hideaway $32.00 Pizza Aus $8.00; Hideaway $33.00, and so on. So again, I realise there are a lot of overheads in a resort this size; however, the food is very overpriced, as are the drinks. You pay $12.00 for a cocktail on a cruise. We love this resort; however, the prices are just too high. And the souvenir shop is on the same trend; prices up. The staff are our attraction, as I said, and the view is beautiful."

"We had a lovely stay at Geckos. The room was clean and food was good, and the massages were especially good. The staff were overall helpful. It is best to hire a car or be prepared for a few taxi trips as the resort is a bit isolated, and be aware that restaurant opening hours are limited. A walk to the nearest swimming beach is possible but not very easy."

"We stayed in a plunge pool room and the room and view are amazing, if you can, I'd recommend highly. The amenities are standard, nothing flashy which suited our needs. All the staff were top tier, couldn't say enough nice things about them. The problem does arise when it comes to food and beverage. The included breakfast is subpar (and I'm being polite). Was stuck having toast with jam all week. I attempted to order from the menu one morning and had the most disgusting looking french toast I've ever seen. Raw, not uncooked. Raw. To make it worse, they dumped the soupy egg mix on top of the bread and attempted to serve it too me. When I refused in an attempt to eat it and asked for it to be taken back, I witnessed the manager and waiter arguing over it. I don't know what was said, it made me uncomfortable."
