"The property is located very close to the national park (though, you still need to get there by car). The staff is very helpful and accomodating. We only stayed for one night and did not get a chance to try the restaurant, although the options seemed good! The hot tub is a little tight for 4 people, but it is still very enjoyable. The scenery is beautiful. We would definitely go back!"

"Host was amazing, gave a really good tour of the park before entering with all the spot to skip the tourist queue. Breakfast and dinner was excellent. Would recommend the spicy mango drink and the liquor that had honey at the end of your meal."

"We had a fantastic stay at Anemona House. The property matched the pictures and it was one of the best rentals we've ever stayed in. Nevena met us and got us checked in. She was so helpful and kind. She even showed us on an enlarged map suggested routes for Plitvice Lakes- it was incredibly helpful. The property had AC's in every bedroom and throughout the house which was wonderful as it was hot when we were there. It was the best stocked rental I've ever stayed in. So many thoughtful touches to numerous breakfast items- oatmeal, cocoa, coffee, tea, to several containers of bottled water. She also had a basket with treats/snacks that were wonderful. There was bug spray, sunscreen, a small sewing kit, games/toys for the kids. The laundry machine was great and there was plenty of space to hang dry clothes. It was the perfect property to stay and explore Plitvice Lakes. We were sad to leave at the end of our 3 nights here. "

My husband and I stayed for three nights in June, and it was a highlight of our trip in Croatia. The care from Matija, Dora and Marco was outstanding, as was the venison stew. The wine list and the food choices were exceptional, and if you went out on your daily expedition hungry then that was definitely not a breakfast catering issue. The room was very comfortable and clean, and the host family ensured your comfort needs were met. The local knowledge of Plitvice Lakes was also a highlight, with Matija providing a suggested itinerary for exploring the national park (access to the park is via gate three - a relatively easy walking distance from Villa Sumrak). Highly recommend this venue to stay.
