"We had a wonderful stay at Villa San Michel in Lucca’s countryside. The setting was peaceful and beautiful, and the staff made everything easy. Linda at the front desk was especially helpful, from calling taxis to offering great local advice. Breakfast was another highlight, with excellent cappuccino and espresso included, plus fresh pastry, eggs, and a nice variety of food. We’d happily return and recommend Villa Saint Michel to anyone visiting the area. The dinner restaurant was also a highlight featuring Tuscan foods and wine."

"I love this hotel so much it was my second visit. I describe it as wholesome. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the location is superb for train station (2mins), city wallls (5 mins) and parkrun start line (5 min walk) Lucca is special and well worth a visit. I will certainly be back next next to stay and this lovely little hotel but please don’t forget the 3 mins plug adapter for Italy and not a standard EU plug."
La Monastica Resort & Spa

"The La Monastica resort was a wonderful place with a staff who were exceptionally welcoming, pleasant and helpful. The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. The location and grounds were beautiful with some modern influences in decor but really maintaining the overall old world charm and aesthetic of the monastery. We really enjoyed time in the bar playing cards and drinking some great cocktails."

"Nice stay, clear hotel, good breakfast with eggs and nice sausages. It was little bit cold in the room, they said they couldn't turn on the heating until 1. November."

"We loved everything about this hotel. Convenient parking, friendly and helpful staff, great buffet breakfast and was in a great location. We’ll definitely stay here again when we’re back in Lucca."

"Great hotel, not too far from either train station. Staff are lovely. Breakfast was great, loads of choice. Only downside was our room, which despite being the largest room in the hotel, felt very impersonal and clinical, and the toilet flush was damaged, though it did work. Also we were in the eaves, so very little view or natural light. Access to the swimming pool was a bonus! Loved Montecatini, would stay again, but in a different room."
