"I really wanted to like this hotel as the staff are fantastic, always helpful and knowledgeable and just lovely, but we booked this hotel thinking it’d be a quiet restful boutique and it was not quiet nor restful. The little alley it sits on seems quiet but every morning at 7am if not earlier we were woken up by loud talking and pushcarts, by buzzsaws and toursists that echoed down the alley and through our thin windows. The terrace on Grand Canal is a wonderful place for hanging out and the hotel is an easy walk from St. Marks, museums and designer shops. Breakfast is included and abundant, and drinks and/or snacks outside on the terrace is a joy in good weather. The 7th-floor bar and restaurant provide a breathtaking panorama of the city. "
