"I recently stayed at Sonesta Hotel and Resorts Columbus Downtown for a work trip, and I would not recommend this hotel. Housekeeping was inconsistent from the start. My room was not cleaned after my first day, and I was told service is only provided upon request. Even after requesting it for the next day, the room was still not cleaned. When they finally did service the room, only the bed was made and towels were replaced—surfaces, bathroom, and floors were not cleaned at all. The most concerning issue was finding a bedbug in the bed during our stay. This is every traveler’s worst nightmare. When I reported it, the staff apologized, but their reaction made it seem like this may not have been an isolated incident. Additionally, when I opened the curtains, I found dirty socks covered in pet hair left behind, which clearly shows the room was not properly cleaned or inspected. There were also billing concerns. Even though the charges to my room were eventually zeroed out, there were still charges on the bill that should not have been there in the first place. This raises concerns about their attention to detail and billing accuracy. Also worth noting: the hotel restaurant is overpriced, so I recommend dining elsewhere. Overall, between the cleanliness issues, lack of proper housekeeping, the bedbug incident, and billing concerns, I would strongly suggest choosing a different hotel."

"Booked a king suite room Via Expedia when we arrived we were in a Queen suite. Advised front desk and stated Expedia booked us as a Queen, and now all Kings are Taken. I paid for a king but front desk Mgr stated Expedia would have to make up the money difference as they booked it, and Hotel is not responsible. Of course Expedia claimed it’s the hotel’s responsibility and advised they attempted to contact Mgr of Hotel with no response. Also this hotel makes you pay $40 a night for parking IN THERE HOTEL LOT that is wide open to the public to park or hang out in. Food wasn’t very good, eggs tasted like rubber and not a lot of other choices. Pass on this Hotel and we will never book via Expedia or stay in another Home2Suites."

"Pictures on line showed a coffee machine in the lobby that didn't exist, which was disappointing. Check in process was frustrating, but the kindness of the person working the front desk made up for it!"

"Pros: The room was very clean. The staff was helpful. Very close to my event. Cons: the parking is limited. There is no free breakfast or coffee. In fact, the doors were locked to the office in the mornings. The shower was also terrible...no pressure at all and would switch to scalding hot with no warning. "

"The room was very small and the bathroom showers were not wide enough for an adult male over 6'. I'm 6'2" and I had to stand sideways. The bathroom is overall to tight. The toilet area is so narrow, I cut my thigh on the toilet paper holder metal cover as I tried to sit down on the toilet. I had to sit at a 45 degree angle to do my business. The bed was hard and the they tried to mask that with a nicer duvet. All the crevices in the furniture were full of dust. I suspect housekeeping only cleans surfaces and nothing more. I will never stay there again."
